Bringing home the baby is such an exciting time for the family. Diaper changing happens as often as they are fed. During the newborn stage, that’s very often. Getting into a diaper changing routine is best to keep everyone organized and stress free.
Be sure to keep a record of:
1. when they are changed
2. what they did at that time (bowel movement, etc), and
3. how many ounces of milk they drank or how long they breastfed on which breast.
Making this a part of the diaper routine for a newborn helps to keep a record for the doctor as well.
